The State Board of Education can and should be a mechanism to inform the legislature, governor and general public by highlighting and promoting solid research, empirical data, and a forum to provide full deliberations of proposals to ensure legislation and policy are sound. This blog is part of a comprehensive approach is critical to fully informing those developing and modifying effective education policy.

Thanks everyone for your support. Now the work begins. I am lucky to have the support, friendship and love of so many. I will work hard to make you proud and keep you informed. We need to work together, for our children and their education. I hear there's some controversial legislation proposed and being considered in this lame duck session.
